The dpmce ceconfig -setnode command lets you set collection, recording, and retention intervals for a host.
This command has the following format:
dpmce ceconfig -setnode [-sc sc_url] -host_name hostname -recording_interval value -retention_sec value -retention_day value [-ws_user username -ws_password password][-locale iso629value]
(Optional) Defines the URL for the service controller host.
Example: https://hostname:port/...
Defines the fully qualified host where the service controller is installed.
Example: localhost.ca.com
Defines the listening port for the service controller server.
Example: 80
Defines the name of the host computer.
Defines the recording interval. This value is required if retention_day or retention_sec is not defined.
Limits: seconds
Defines the retention period for the second table. This value is required if recording_interval or retention_day are not defined.
Defines the retention period for the day table. This value is required if recording_interval or retention_sec are not defined.
(Optional) Specifies the credentials to use for the web service security check. If you do not include credentials, you are prompted to enter them. Avoid the prompt for credentials by setting up your own session using caaipsecurity.
(Optional) Specifies an IS0 639_3166 combination (for example: fr_FR for French) to override the default English output. To use the locale of the command prompt, specify "native".
Example: Set Retention Interval for Host ServerZ
This example sets the retention interval for the host ServerZ.
dpmce ceconfig -setnode -host_name ServerZ -retention_day 300
