The takeresourceoffline command lets you take a resource offline.
This command has the following format:
dpmmscs takeresourceoffline [ -sc <scUrl> ] -cluster <cluster> -res <resource name> [ -locale <locale> ] [ -ws_user <username> ] [ -ws_password <password> ]
(Optional) Defines the URL for the service controller host.
Example: https://hostname:port/...
Defines the fully qualified host where the service controller is installed.
Example: localhost.ca.com
Defines the listening port for the service controller server.
Example: 80
Specifies the cluster name.
Specifies the resource name.
(Optional) Specifies an IS0 639_3166 combination (for example: fr_FR for French) to override the default English output. To use the locale of the command prompt, specify "native".
(Optional) Specifies the CA Server Automation user name.
(Optional) Specifies the CA Server Automation user password.
Example: Take a Resource Offline
dpmmscs.exe takeresourceoffline -cluster MYCLUSTER -res "SQL Server Fulltext" -ws_user admin -ws_password admin
