For ease of maintenance, use the dollar ($) JES identifier when specifying JES commands and messages in a resource definition. The $ identifier is replaced by the actual JES identifier when the command or message is processed. The actual JES identifier is stored in the OPSYSIDS region initialization parameter group.
The provided templates use the $ JES identifier, and you do not need to change it even if your JES subsystem uses a different identifier.
