A sysplex system image specifies the operations policies required by your organization for the managed resources for the sysplex that contains this system. It consists of a system image definition and a number of resource definitions.
The Assisted Sysplex Resource Definition facility enables you to select particular resources you want to define to the system image.
Use the facility to quickly create definitions in a system image for sysplex resources. You can then customize the definitions individually. The facility creates a new sysplex system image.
Note: You cannot use the facility on an existing sysplex image.
To populate a sysplex system image with resources using the Assisted Sysplex Resources Definition Facility
The Assisted Resource Definition menu appears:

Important! The region automatically loads Version 0001 of a sysplex system image. If you do not want to load the sysplex resources after you define them, populate them to an image with a different version number.
After you complete the field, press Enter.
The Auto Populate Selection List panel appears, listing the sysplex resources that you can define.
If you use the SU action code, then for the resources that use couple data sets, you can specify the following:
Press Enter to validate your selections.
The selections are tagged as selected. If you want to unselect a selected resource, enter U beside the resource. If you want to unselect all selected resources, enter ALL U at the Command prompt.
Important! If you want to cancel the operation, you must press F12 (Cancel) before the next step.
The resource definitions are built.
