The JES2SHUT special inactivation process is for the JES2 subsystem. The process performs a controlled shutdown of a JES2 subsystem. It stops all JES2 devices before stopping the subsystem itself.
Important! The process uses the $DU,device-type JES command to determine the status of JES devices. Review your CONDEF JES2 initialization statement to ensure that the DISPMAX parameter is set to a large enough value to accommodate the maximum number of messages that can be received for a device type. Also, ensure that the value of the DISPMAX parameter is less than the value of the BUFNUM parameter.
