Couple Data Sets

The following sysplex resources can use couple data sets:

• Automatic restart manager
• Coupling facility resource manager
• Cross-system coupling facility
• Sysplex failure management
• Workload manager

Use the Couple Dataset Control panel to identify spare couple data sets.

If you specify a spare data set, you can also specify the following controls:

• Whether a spare can be allocated automatically as the alternate data set for the resource
• Whether an operator can reset the data sets to their original usage (that is, primary, alternate, and spare as specified on the panel)
