Configure a Connection from the Policy Server to an OID User Directory

You can configure a connection from the Policy Store to an OID 10g 9.0.4 user directory.

To configure a connection from the Policy Server to an OID user directory

1. Create an organizational unit under a domain using the ODM.

   Example: OracleSchemaVersion

2. Select the organizational unit, and enter a Distinguished Name.

   Example: ou=people,cn=OracleSchemaVersion

3. Right-click Entry Management, and select Create.
4. Click Add on the Distinguished Name dialog, and select inetOrgPerson.
5. Type the following on the Mandatory Properties tab:
   • cn=user1
   • sn=user1
   • uid=user1
   • userpassword=user1
6. Specify the dn as: cn=user1,ou=people,cn=OracleSchemaVersion
7. Create a user directory object in the Policy Server.
8. Create a connection from the Policy Server to the user directory using the Policy Server Management Console.
