How to Prepare for SOA Agent Installation
Before you install a SOA Agent for Web Servers, there are a number of pieces of information you will need and requirements that must be met.
Note: Because the SOA Agent for Web Servers is an XML-enabled version of the CA SiteMinder Web Agent, you must perform all the procedures that are required to prepare for a Web Agent installation or upgrade before installing or upgrading the SOA Agent software.
To prepare for SOA Agent for Web Servers installation
- Prepare your web server by doing the following tasks:
- Ensure you have an account with one of the following for your web server:
- Administrative privileges (for Windows systems).
- Root privileges (for UNIX systems).
- Confirm that the operating system has the proper service packs or patches installed.
- Configure any options or settings required to operate a SOA Agent on your type of web server. Some possible examples of these include (but are not limited to) the following:
