SOA Security Gateway Management Console Crashes Creating a Self-Signed Certificate on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5

On Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, attempting to create a self-signed certificate for a configured HTTPS Service causes the SOA Security Gateway Management Console to crash with the following error:

"SOA Security Management Console (vshell): symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libpangocairo-1.0.so.0: undefined symbol: cairo_scaled_font_get_font_options"

Workaround

On Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, start the SOA Security Gateway Management Console by entering the following in a command window:

env LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libcairo.so.2  SOA_HOME/SOASecurityGateway/posix/bin/soagatewaymanagementconsole &

  Defines the installed location of SOA Security Manager.
