Change the Policy Server Super User Password

To change the Policy Server super user password

1. Start the Policy Server Management Console.

   Important! If you are accessing this graphical user interface on Windows Server 2008, open the shortcut with Administrator permissions. Use Administrator permissions even if you are logged in to the system as an Administrator. For more information, see the release notes for your SOA Security Manager component.

2. Click the Super User tab.

   Note: For more information about the settings and controls on this tab, click Help, Management Console Help.

3. In the Old Password field, enter the current password of the Super User.
4. In the New Password field, enter the new password of the Super User.

   Note: The SOA Security Manager superuser administrator’s password may not contain the pipe (|), greater than (>), or less than (<) characters.

5. In the Confirm Password field, enter the new password to verify it.
6. Click Apply to save the Super User changes, or click OK to save the settings and close the Console.

   Note: Changes to the Super User account password take effect without restarting the Policy Server process.
