SCDS IS TOO SMALL FOR DATA IN BACKUP FILE

Reason:

The file being overlaid is smaller than the backup copy being restored.

New area can be smaller than old area only when FREE space records are at the end of the file (in the area to be deleted).

Action:

Ensure that enough space is defined in the DD statement in the JCL. Correct the SPACE operand in the DD statement and rerun the job.
