Dual Server Setup

If you choose to install the Workpoint server on its own Windows computer, this implementation spreads the computing load between two computers. You can use an existing Workpoint server instance, but such an implementation requires special configuration and installation of CA RCM components on the server. The following diagram illustrates this installation:

Note: Oracle Database does not support the CA RCM external reporting database. You can use the DBUtil tool to create and configure the reporting database on a Microsoft SQL Server after you complete the CA RCM installation against Oracle Database.
