Reports Module in AIX/WebSphere

You may encounter errors relating to the BIRT reports module in AIX/WebSphere operating environments. These errors result from conflicting system property settings between the BIRT module and the CA RCM server application. Use the following procedure to correct the configuration of the BIRT module.

Note: You must have administrator-level rights in the CA RCM portal to perform this procedure.

To correct the configuration of the BIRT module

1. In the CA RCM portal main menu, click Administration, Settings, Common Properties Settings.

   The Common Properties Settings screen appears.

2. Click Edit for the pbe.enable property key.

   The Edit Property screen appears.

3. In the Type drop-down, select Database Property.
4. Click Save.

   The pbe.enable property is now stored in the CA RCM database. The BIRT reporting module and all CA RCM server processes read the property value from the CA RCM database.
