When CA Identity Manager is present, CA RCM retrieves information about external accounts on provisioning endpoints when it polls CA Identity Manager for data. CA Identity Manager provides the information necessary to map users in the CA RCM universe to their external accounts.
CA RCM then queries CA Enterprise Log Manager for usage information of these accounts and their resources.
In this release, it is difficult to correlate users to accounts without using the CA Identity Manager data connector. This limitation on account correlation also limits usage information for account-level privileges: CA RCM cannot process or display usage information for an account that is not correlated to a user. Practically, CA RCM only retrieves usage information for accounts on endpoints managed by CA Identity Manager.
The only alternative method to import account correlation data is in a static CSV file, as described in "Import CSV Data into an Account Configuration" in the Portal User Guide. Typically this file-based import is a manual process.
