Install the Java Development Kit

To develop applications using Java within CA Plex, you must download and install the J2SE Development Kit (version 7.0).

To install Java Development Kit

  1. Click Install to display more installation options on the CA Plex Installation CD window.
  2. Click the Download JDK 7.0 button.
  3. Follow the instructions on the website to download and install JDK 7.0.

Note: If you install the JDK component after installing CA Plex, you must perform any Java-dependent CA Plex configuration changes manually.
