Field Helps

Field Helps contain information about a specific field on a product panel. It appears when you tab to a product panel's field you want Help with and press F1. You can also get Help with a field when it is listed as a selection on a Panel Help.

 º   The name assigned to each type of input record.  IRD Names are unique     
 º   and are assigned when input record descriptions are defined.              
 º   Since CA PMA/DataManager comes with hundreds of pre-defined input         
 º   record definitions, many IRD Names already exist.                         
 º                                                                             
 º   IRD Name is the identifier used throughout CA PMA/DataManager to          
 º   specify an individual input record.  IRD Name can be up to eight          
 º   alphanumeric characters.  However, IRD Names cannot start with a          
 º   special character and they cannot include the percent sign (%),           
 º   the underscore (_), or a single quote (').

Access

Field Helps appear when one of the following events occurs:

• You press F1 and the cursor is positioned on a field.
• You select a field listed on a panel help.

Actions

F1

(Help) Displays an explanation on how to use the Help facility.

F2

(Topic) Displays the Help Table of Contents.

F3

(End) Returns you to the resident product panel from which you called Help.

F5

(Cont) Takes you to the next logical panel.

F7

(Prev) Takes you to the previously viewed panel.

F8

(Next) Takes you to the next topic discussed.

F9

(Index) Displays the Help Index.
