The web interface provides CA SDM functionality through the World Wide Web. The web interface enables independent browsing of the knowledge base, reducing the number of calls to the service desk and speeding resolution times. The interface also lets you do the following:
After you install and configure CA SDM according to the instructions in the Implementation Guide, you can administer and secure CA SDM usage, and configure it to suit your needs. You configure the web interface security through the use of roles and access types. You can tailor the interface to use it with web browsers.
