Multi-Tenancy

Multi-tenancy is the ability for multiple independent tenants (and their users) to share a single implementation of CA SDM. Tenant users only interact with each other in defined ways, as specified by their roles and tenant hierarchies. Typically, unless granted access by a role or hierarchy, each tenant views the CA SDM implementation as solely for its own use and cannot update or view another tenant's data.

Multi-tenancy allows tenants to share hardware and application support resources, which reduces the cost of both, while gaining many benefits of an independent implementation.

Note: For information about installing and configuring multi-tenancy, see the Implementation Guide.
