How to Implement Mailboxes

CA SDM provides a default mailbox (named Default) that is active and that you can use in your organization. You can modify the default mailbox, create additional mailboxes, or both.

To implement mailboxes, do the following preliminary steps:

• Configure the mail server account that you want to use.
• Create contacts and specify their email addresses if you do not want to allow anonymous users to create and update tickets (Allow Anonymous option).

To configure the Default mailbox, do the following optional basic steps:

1. Edit the Default mailbox.
2. Update the mailbox rules and policies as appropriate.

   The mailbox is active and begins polling. The first poll occurs after one second.
