Delete a Category

You can remove a category from the Knowledge Category structure. When you delete a category, you can specify whether to remove the subcategories of the selected category, and all associated document links.

Note: This feature is only available to system administrators and knowledge managers.

To delete a category

  1. On the Administration Tab, browse to Knowledge, Knowledge Categories.

    The Knowledge Categories page appears.

  2. Right-click the category to delete, and select Delete Category from the shortcut menu.

    The Delete Category page appears.

    Note: You cannot delete or modify the Top category.

    Click OK.

    The product deletes the selected category and the Knowledge Category pane refreshes.
