Create an ODBC Data Source

You can create an ODBC data source using the ODBC Data Source Administrator.

To create an ODBC Data Source

  1. Navigate to Start, All Programs, Administrative Tools, Data Sources (ODBC).

    The ODBC Data Source Administrator opens.

  2. Select the System DSN tab and click Add.

    The Create New Data Source page appears.

  3. Select DataDirect OpenAccess and click Finish.

    The DataDirect OpenAccess ODBC Setup page appears.

  4. Specify casd_servername in the ODBC Name field.
  5. Click Advanced.

    The Advanced page appears.

  6. Click Add.

    The Open Access Database Setup page appears.

  7. Complete the following fields:
  8. Click OK.
  9. Select casd_servername from the Database drop-down list.
  10. Click OK.

    The ODBC data source is created.
