Activity Associations

You can define activity types that you associate with an attribute of an object. Activity associations let you do the following:

Track and report on changes to an object attribute.
Mark an activity association as internal.
Internal activity associations restrict notifications to those contacts whose access type allows them to view internal logs. Contacts that are not authorized to view internal logs are not notified, even if they are included as recipients of the notification. All future activity logs created with the associated activity are marked as internal.

Note: An object attribute can have only one activity association.
