How the EPI Manages VTAM Applications

Together with the Automated Operations Facility (AOF), you can use the EPI to interact with VTAM applications in the following specific ways:

• A message is issued from a message rule.
• A command is issued.
• An OMEGAMON event occurs from an OMEGAMON rule.
• A user-initiated event occurs from a request rule.
• A time of day event occurs from a TOD rule.
