Run the Installation Jobs for a Pax Installation

Submit and run these SAMPJCL members in sequence. Do not proceed with any job until the previous job has completed successfully.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the SAMPJCL member CLX3RECD in an edit session, and execute the CLXSEDIT macro from the command line.

    Note: Remove any unwanted FMIDs.

    CLX3RECD is customized.

  2. Submit the yourHLQ.SAMPJCL member CLX3RECD to receive SMP/E base functions.

    CA OPS/MVS is received and now resides in the global zone.

  3. Open the SAMPJCL member CLX4APP in an edit session, and execute the CLXSEDIT macro from the command line.

    Note: Remove any unwanted FMIDs.

    CLX4APP is customized.

  4. Submit the yourHLQ.SAMPJCL memberCLX4APP to apply SMP/E base functions.

    CA OPS/MVS is applied and now resides in the target libraries.

  5. Open the SAMPJCL member CLX5ACC in an edit session, and execute the CLXSEDIT macro from the command line.

    Note: Remove any unwanted FMIDs.

    CLX5ACC is customized.

  6. Submit the yourHLQ.SAMPJCL member CLX5ACC to accept SMP/E base functions.

    CA OPS/MVS is accepted and now resides in the distribution libraries.
