The OPSSEND function fails if its arguments are invalid (for example, if you specify an option value of X). If OPSSEND does not fail, it issues one of the following return codes:
Normal completion.
The sysid is defined to the MSF, but no MSF session is currently active with it.
The sysid is not defined to the MSF as the name of a remote CA OPS/MVS system.
The sysid specified is the original source of the message. This return code is generated only when the message rule that issued the OPSSEND function is processing a message that came in from another CA OPS/MVS system through the MSF. The CA OPS/MVS product prevents loops through the MSF by preventing a message from returning to the system where it originated.
The sysid specified is that of the local system. The OPSSEND function can send messages only to a remote system.
The MSF is not active.
The MSF is not installed.
OPSSEND was issued outside the AOF (rule) environment. Only rules can invoke the OPSSEND function.
