Record Fields for Printer (PRTS) Inquiries

Record fields for inquiries about printers (defined as such with the PRTS value) contain the following:

Word Number: 1

Length: 8

Contains the printer name ID.

Word Number: 2

Length: 4

Contains the device number of the printer. This field contains FSS if the printer is an FSS mode printer.

Word Number: 3

Length: 8

Contains the printer status. This field may contain one of the following values: ACTIVE, INACTIVE, BUSY, HALTING, HALTED, DRAINING, or DRAINED.

Word Number: 4

Length: 8

Contains the job name.

Word Number: 5

Length: 8

Contains the FSS name (if an FSS printer).

Word Number: 6

Length: 8

Contains the FSS procedure name (if an FSS printer).

Word Number: 7

Length: 16

Contains the list of output classes the printer supports.
