The OPSARMST function returns a count of ARM elements that match the selection criteria specified in the function arguments. If an error was encountered executing the function, -1 is returned. If ARM is not active on the system, -2 is returned. When an error is the result of a failure in the IBM IXCQUERY macro call, which provides the ARM data for this function, a diagnostic message containing the return and reason codes from IXCQUERY is also produced. These return and reason codes are documented in the IBM documentation.
