AOF SUBSYS—Set Subsystem Identifier

The SUBSYS command sets the z/OS subsystem identifier (SSID) of the CA OPS/MVS product that will process subsequent ADDRESS AOF commands (in addition to some REXX functions, such as OPSVALUE and OPSPRM). Use this command only if you are running multiple copies of CA OPS/MVS and you want the commands addressed to a CA OPS/MVS copy that is not using the default SSID for the CA OPS/MVS product, which is OPSS.

Issuing the SUBSYS command sets the RC variable to zero and the external data queue contains no output lines.

This command has the following format:

ADDRESS AOF "SUBSYS keyword"
  [sid]

SUBSYS

Identifies the subsystem where the CA OPS/MVS copy to receive ADDRESS AOF commands is running.

Note the following usage information:

• Only ADDRESS AOF commands issued from the OPS/REXX program issuing the SUBSYS command go to the specified SSID. ADDRESS AOF commands issued from subsequent OPS/REXX programs running in the same address space, or from other address spaces, go to other destinations.
• For OPS/REXX programs run as part of a started task, the default subsystem ID is the first four characters of the current step name, so long as the first three characters are OPS.
