This section discusses the return codes that are associated with the global variable backup and restore utility.
The following is a list of the global variable backup return codes:
Operation successful.
GETMAIN/FREEMAIN failure.
DEQ failed.
Exclusive ENQ failed.
APF authorization failed.
Invalid subsystem or an inactive subsystem.
Serious control block error.
An abend has occurred.
Local/CML lock failure.
Invalid/missing data set name.
No allocation destination has been specified. Specify either the storage class or the unit/volser combination.
Dynamic allocation failed.
Open failed for data set.
Error writing the backup data set.
Error closing backup data set.
The following is a list of the global variable restore program return codes:
Operation successful.
GETMAIN/FREEMAIN failure.
DEQ failed.
Exclusive ENQ failed.
APF authorization failed.
Invalid subsystem or an inactive subsystem.
Serious control block error.
An abend has occurred.
Local/CML lock failure.
Invalid/missing data set name or unit name or model DSCB pattern.
Dynamic allocation failed.
Open failed for data set.
OPGVRSDD not allocated.
Error closing restore data set.
Error reading backup data set.
Global max size conflict.
Invalid header record in backup data set
