A global variable (GLV) rule is triggered when the value of an OPS/REXX global variable, whose stem begins with GLVTEMPx., GLOBAL., or GLOBALx., is changed. Depending on the logic of your automated CA OPS/MVS applications, you may need to react to the changing of a common OPS/REXX global variable that is being processed by many different OPS/REXX rules or OPS/REXX programs. A GLV rule allows you to centralize this type of processing.
