In general, CA OPS/MVS messages cannot be trapped by the Automated Operations Facility (AOF). However, messages that end with a severity code of O or J are exceptions to this rule. Message rules may be written for these product messages only. For information on the writing of AOF rules, consult the AOF Rules User Guide.
The following is the list of messages that by default contain a severity level that can be processed by the AOF:
Note: The severity level of most CA OPS/MVS messages can be changed by using the OPSPARM command processor or OPSPRM OPS/REXX function. Each message contains an indicator (Modifiable: YES/NO) that tells you whether the severity of the message is eligible to be changed.
