Delete Routers Permanently

If you delete a router on the Available Interfaces, the router is deleted from the system permanently. The deletion removes the router, the related historical data, interfaces, CVIs, and traps. The deletion also affects any aggregations, views, and reports that previously included the router interfaces.

Follow these steps:

  1. Verify that the router is no longer sending flows to CA Network Flow Analysis.
  2. Open the Available Interfaces page:
    1. Select Administration from the NFA console menu.

      The Administration page opens.

    2. Select System: Enable Interfaces in the Administration menu.

      The Available Interfaces page opens.

  3. Locate the router and select the check box next to it.
  4. Click Delete.

A confirmation message opens, which asks you to confirm the deletion.

  5. Click Yes in the message box.

    The following events result:

Note: If the router you delete has any active interfaces, a new router can appear if all of the following conditions are met:

In this case, a new router appears on both the Available Interfaces page and the Active Interfaces page. The new router inherits the current tenant-domain setting of its parent Harvester. The router polls by using the SNMP profiles that are assigned to the Harvester tenant. Any customized settings for the previous router are lost.
