Edit Details for a Router, Interface, or CVI

Edit the properties of a router, interface, or CVI to make corrections or add information.

Select the check box next to one or more routers, interfaces, or CVIs to activate the Edit function.

Follow these steps:

1. Select Administration from the NFA console menu.

   The Administration page opens.

2. Select Interfaces: Physical & Virtual from the Administration page menu.

   The Active Interfaces page opens and shows the list of routers.

3. Select the check box next to one or more routers, interfaces, or CVIs whose details you want to edit. To edit the details for interfaces or CVIs, expand the list under the parent router.

   The Edit button is no longer dimmed.

4. Click Edit.

   The dialog box opens for editing the selected item or items.

5. Modify the details as needed:
   • Router (single or multiple): Change the name, SNMP profile/version, port, and template.
   • Interface (single): Change the interface name, description, inbound speed, outbound speed, connection type, and domain.
   • Interfaces or CVIs (multiple): Change the inbound speed, outbound speed, type, and domain.
   • CVI (single): Change the CVI name, description, inbound speed, outbound speed, connection type, domain, and list of subnets.

   Note: You can put interfaces and CVIs in a different domain than the parent router.

6. Click Save.

   The Edit Router or Edit Interface dialog closes. The changes are shown on the Active Interfaces page.
