NOTAVAILABLE Parameter

When the NOTAVAILABLE parameter is used, the device that was varied offline and NOTAVL can only be selected for allocation if the AUTOREPLY and IEF238D settings generate message MIM2060 during allocation recovery, allowing the operator to reply with that device, or if you issue the VARY AVAILABLE command for that device. TPCF intercepts and suppresses all VARY ONLINE commands for NOTAVAILABLE devices so that these devices are not varied online accidentally.
