How the EDL Limits TPCF Preferencing

The first critical factor in TPCF preferencing is the EDL for a job. TPCF does not create its own list of devices during allocation. Instead, TPCF applies your device selection criteria to the list of devices created by z/OS allocation. TPCF has no influence on the creation of the EDL.
