How You Activate Tracing

The trace facilities in CA MIM should be used only for problem diagnosis under the direction of CA Technical Support. Tracing can add considerable overhead to CA MIM operations.

All trace activity is controlled by the SETOPTION TRACE=ON | OFF command. This command can be issued from a console at any time or can be included in your MIMCMNDS or MIMSYNCH members. Use the following commands to control trace activity:

• SETOPTION MIM TRACE
• SETOPTION MIM TRACE
• SETOPTION MIM SETTRACE
• SETOPTION MIM SETPRINT
• SETOPTION MIM RESETTRACE
• SETOPTION MIM RESETPRINT
• ALLOCATE DDNAME=MIMTRACE
