CA MIC
CA MIC provides cross-system command routing from any z/OS or z/VM command source and lets you import messages from external systems and route them to local destinations.
CA MIC performs the following tasks:
- Consolidates messages from multiple images into a single stream and delivers these messages to a variety of user-defined destinations, including MCS and EMCS consoles, SYSLOG, TSO users, and vendor software products like CA OPS/MVS and CA Remote Console.
- Selects which messages to deliver to each destination based on a variety of selection criteria, including message type, message ID, job name, route code, and monitor type.
- Provides user-defined command routing to any combination of systems in the complex from a variety of command sources, including MCS and EMCS consoles, TSO users, and vendor software products such as CA Remote Console, CA OPS/MVS, and CA SYSVIEW.
- Allows operators to quickly identify the source system of a cross-system message. CA MIC can modify the color and highlighting of messages based on originating system or sysplex. In addition, the job ID field of messages can be edited to contain the two-character alias of the originating system.
- Consolidates geographically dispersed systems for enterprise console control through the use of CA Common Services for z/OS.
