This chapter describes how to define the parameters required to install the CA MICS Web Analyzer. Use this chapter as a detailed reference in conjunction with the PIOM. Defining CA MICS parameters requires an understanding of your site requirements and the ability to translate that understanding into the appropriate CA MICS parameters. You must do the following: o Arrive at a number of policy decisions. o Fill out several worksheets. o Translate the worksheet entries into the corresponding CA MICS parameter library member entries. These activities represent the major portion of the product installation process. While worksheets are provided, they are optional; it is mandatory however to ensure that product parameters are coded. This chapter focuses on considerations that are unique to the CA MICS Web Analyzer. Chapters 2 and 3 of the PIOM document the mechanics of the CA MICS installation process and include checklists that describe each installation step.
