4.1.2 Special Installation Considerations


The following items should be examined prior to running the
VCC:

    o  The VCC, by default, uses SMF record number 198.  If a
       current user SMF record number conflicts with this
       number, a new unique number must be explicitly
       assigned in the VCC run-time options.

    o  If you are installing the CA MICS VTOC/Catalog
       Activity component (VCA), the new SMF record number
       must also be changed in CA MICS. Specific details may
       be found in the CA MICS installation instructions.
