This query provides insight into the hourly and overall VTV mount demand for your StorageTek VTSSs from a number of different perspectives. If concurrent VTV mount demand exceeds the number of virtual tape drives defined for a SYSID, workloads are delayed. The usage patterns seen with the variety of views provided by this query allow you to identify high and low periods—with the potential for workload shifting.
