2.3.6.1 ASM Page/Swap Activity Report
The ASM Page/Swap Activity Report describes the activity and
response of each data set found in the SCPPSD Files.
The ASM Page/Swap Activity Report is produced using a series
of five panels. Only the first panel is required. The
others are used to specify additional options that are
normally defaulted.

Figure 2-79. ASM Page/Swap Activity Report Inquiry Panel
Figure 2-79 shows the ASM Page/Swap Activity Report panel.
The report level options you can select for this report are
as follows:
Report by
data set A report is to be generated for each data set
names: found in the page/swap data set (SCPPSD) files.
Report by The page/swap data set information is to be
data set summed by data set type: LOCAL, COMMON, PLPA,
types: DUPLEX, and SWAP. This option allows the
operation of the ASM system to be viewed as a
single unit (e.g., what is the response for
local paging?).
Report by The page/swap dataset information is to be
device summed by device type. This option is intended
types: to aid you in evaluating the potential benefits
of using different device types (e.g., replacing
2305-2 with 3380s for local data sets).
There are four other panels in this series that you can use
to specify additional options that are normally defaulted.
They are:
o Extended Options Menu
o Global Data Selection
o Alternate Input File
o Save Selected Input Observations
For a description of the Extended Options Menus refer to
Section 1.4.3.6, Specifying Common Extended Options.
