5.4.9 Service Class Response Time (WLMSEM)

The Service Class Response Time File quantifies transaction
response time by service class period. Measurements in this
file include transaction counts and processing rates, total
and average elapsed and execution times, standard deviation
of response time, and the number and percent of transactions
completed within fixed percentages of the specified goal, or
response time distributions. Observations are written to
this file only if the service class has either average or
percentile response time goals, and if the measurements are
available.

The WLMSEM file is commonly used in conjunction with these
related files:

  o WLMSEA - Service Class
o WLMSEC - Service Class Resource Consumption
o WLMSED - Service Class General Execution Delay

Information in the WLMSEM file is derived from the type 72
subtype 3 RMF Workload Activity and Storage Data record.
