5.4.1 Service Definition File (WLMSDE)

The Service Definition File contains information about the
Workload Manager service definition installed at the time the
measurements were taken.  The file contains measurement
status flags, resource coefficients and factors, and other
information common to all WLM measurements.
 
Information in the WLMSDE file is derived from the type 72
subtype 3 RMF Workload Activity and Storage Data record.
 
Note:  Placing Service Definition information in a single
database file rather than in each observation in all
WLM-related files results in a significant reduction in
storage requirements.
