1.2.1.1 Online Data Hierarchy


The online data is structured in a tree or hierarchical
structure consisting of four levels; 1) Timespan, 2)
Information Area, 3) File, and 4) Cycle.  Figure 1-3
illustrates the level hierarchy.

  Level 1:             Timespan(s)     (DAYS, WEEKS, etc)

  Level 3:                File(s)    (TSO User Activity File)

                                    2nd last, 3rd last, etc.)

above for storing data online and the discussion concludes
with an example of the Database hierarchical design.
