9.1.3 Manual Job Execution

When data is moved by tape from VM to MVS, the receive
function (VMTRCV) must be executed only if data compression
was selected in the data transfer parameters (see sections
7.1.2 through 7.1.7).  If compression is not selected, the
data is in its final format; it can be directly input to the
CA MICS VM and CMS Analyzer.

The JCL required to run the receive program is illustrated in
Section 7.2 of this guide.
