VMTUPD Update a VMT File

Use the VMTUPD EXEC to update a VMT file.


FORMAT:

    VMTUPD fname ftype <fmode|*> <( CTL ctl> < SEQ|NOSEQ >

    where:

    fname      - The file name.

    ftype      - The file type is prepended with $ to
                 determine the name of the distribution file.
                 The distribution file is then copy/replaced
                 to the production name and updated.  If
                 NOSEQ is specified, the sequence numbers are
                 stripped from columns 73-80.

    fmode      - The file mode.

    ctl        - The control file name.  Default:  VMTCTL

    SEQ/NOSEQ  - Specifies sequence numbers.  If NOSEQ is
                 specified, the sequence numbers are stripped
                 from columns 73-80.

IMPORTANT:  in CMS, edit the VMTUPD File only with VMTXED.
