6.3 CA MICS SMF Requirements and Considerations


The Batch and Operations Analyzer requires specific SMF
record types to be input into the daily database update
routine.  The record types come from the SMF record
categories discussed in Sections 6.1.2.1 and 6.1.2.2.

This section presents information to help you make decisions
that will affect the usefulness and size of your CA MICS
databases.  Interval recording, started task accounting, and
environmental concerns are discussed.
