5.3.20.3 VMXLPR Usage Considerations


The VMXLPR File contains one observation for each logical
partition defined to the central electronic complex per
monitor interval.  This provides the ability to view activity
for the VM/ESA system using data generated externally
from the system itself and to view overall activity
for the other logical partitions defined to the central
electronic complex.

The file provides LPAR activity data, including LPAR dispatch
time and partition management time.  In addition, it contains
system overhead spent managing the physical configuration,
which is included in a special partition named PHYSICAL.
