5.3.15.3 VMXXSF Usage Considerations


The VMXXSF File is a spin file that contains one observation
per saved system that is accessed while the monitor is
active, and an observation for each time a saved system is
either purged or saved.  The VMXXSF File is created from
activity data because no configuration data is provided for
saved systems at monitor initialization.  For this reason,
all saved systems defined to VM/XA, VM/ESA, and z/VM may not
appear in this file.  To have all saved systems appear, an
EXEC can be constructed that will list all saved systems
using the class E QUERY NSS command, and access each saved
system over the period of a monitor interval.
