5.3.10.3 VMXVXF Usage Considerations

Special considerations or techniques related to using the
VMXVXF File are provided below:

o The VMXVXF File is a spin file that contains one
observation per virtual machine logged on monitor
initialization, and one observation for each time a new
VMDBK is created in the system or removed from the system
while the monitor is running. A VMDBK is created by logon
or DEFINE CPU, and removed by LOGOFF or DETACH CPU.

o Only one cycle exists in the detail timespan. This file
contains observations from several runs of the DAILY job.
Each cycle is identified by the element VMXAGE. VMXAGE is
1 for the current cycle, 2 for the previous cycle,
etc. The VMXAGE element can be used to match a particular
VMXVXF observation with a cycle of the VMXVXU and VMXVXT
   Files.
